Environment Canada is tightening its assessment of substances inside our border with a new mandatory reporting obligation for importers and users of approximately 1,500 chemicals. This could include lone substances, mixtures, products and specified manufactured goods.

Partner Jonathan D. Cocker, head of the Firm’s environmental practice in Canada, says the reports are due July 17, 2017 and obligations apply to calendar years 2014 and 2015.
