On Tuesday October 8th the Toronto office kicked off Disability Employment Awareness Month, an annual monthly awareness campaign with disAbility: See the able not the label, a Diversity & Inclusion event held in the award-winning Whitespace Collab.

The office was joined by Wendy Porch (Executive Director [ED] for the Centre for Independent Living in Toronto), Allan Redford (President of Little People of Canada and Little People of Ontario), Yin Brown (Project Coordinator for DisAbled Women’s Network) and Luke Anderson (Founder and ED for StopGap).

Speakers shared their lived experiences and many important considerations for both citizens and employers to increase the varied and valuable contributions of employees with disabilities.
